Labeda G-80. I haven't altered them in any way (yet), but I've been looking into different wheels. We practice on a grippy wood floor. They come standard with Abec-9 bearings, Resistor composite plates with Pro Lift cushions.

RS1000 boots (grew up skating in those!), powerdyne aluminum plates, devil ray wheels and swiss bearings......oh yeah. =)

Riedell 265 or the 695 boot They are a little pricy but it will be the last boot you'll buy.
Nova plate or sunlite plate for derby, pretty light and durable.Sunlite also has a lifetime guarantee and so many colors.
Bones Redz are great bearings easy to clean and only cost about 30.00
Wheels, There are so many choices, If you are over 150lbs you should buy something with an aluminum hub. But I have heard the new lowboys and strokers are a good wheel for any surface. Stay away from anything cheep you'll just fall on your butts.

I'm torn between the two skates I own. I love them both for their differences.
The Bont Derby leather is awesomely lightweight and comfy with its roomy toebox. It's also heat moldable for a custom fit. Just need to know that the sizing is Australian, so they run very large compared to Riedells. Despite the covered toe are (designed for derby), you'll still need a toe guard as the material over the toe is insufficient for the rigors of derby.
I have a Roll-line Navigator mounted on those boots and I highly recommend Roll-Line plates. The responsiveness of the roll-lines are far superior to all others, IMHO.
My other skates are full on vintage. Oberhamer 351 boots with a single action Sure-Grip magnum white plate (magnesium super lightweight!) . I love these skates!
Wheels: Anabolix Chameleons, Hyper Shamans, Vintage Labeda Turbos
Bearings: China reds best value for the $

Santa just brought me...
Riedell 965s with PowerDyne Triton plates, mounted to the inside instead of the center of the skate to improve responsiveness & control.

I also adore the red Radar Zodiacs. I tried to skate on the regular width wheels again a couple weeks ago I couldn't do it.
Bones Reds for bearings.
