Our arms and legs are eternally bruised, our pads and helmet stink worse than moldy leftovers, and we wouldn't have it any other way! In fact, we see these as badges of honor for a sport that takes moxie and a unique blend of athletecism and insanity. Women's flat track roller derby is neither staged, nor for the weak of spirit. "Bold and Unapologetic: Derby Women and Their Moxie" is a book in process that takes the derby spirit and channels it through information about the skaters, pictures of their body work, and bold statements about themselves as mothers, lovers, partners and professionals. Developed by a fellow skater, Minimum Rage, of the Denver Roller Dolls, this book seeks to celebrate the diversity of derby skaters. If you have one or more tattoos and are interested in being featured in the book, please contact Minimum Rage at minirage@gmail.com .
