Portable track

Greetings derby friends,
My name is Swerve and I skate with and Coach the Cajun Rollergirls. Last week, I found out that our home rink is up for sale with a purchase aggreement signed. This is unfortunate as I understand that the only other rink in town is also up for sale. So, my league is looking for a savior, and I think we can find it in a portable track. I'm wondering if there are any leagues out there selling them used? Any guidance, suggestions, comments with regard to purchasing a track are greatly appreciated. Many Thanks for your time :)

Hey mama! Wicked Skatewear sells a track that's made out of mouse pad material, super easy to drop down, pick up, transport, no more tripping over cones, etc.

We've sold it to leagues around the world & kids are stoked :)

I have to agree at first I thought how in hell is the no trip track going to work but it does. The day we got it ever girl on the team ran over the piece to experiment. It's awesome for a quick set up. We use if for practices.
As far as venues check your local armories, ymca's, or any place that has a basketball like floor.

I've definitely considered the no trip track. I like the quick set up, and safety convenience is always a plus. For some reason, the people running my local recreation district have this idea that we are going to make black marks on their floor, even though we've done derby demo days for local schools without ever leaving a trace. So I'm up against this thought that people in charge have in their heads. I figured a floor that we can put on top of the taxpayers' floor would be something that the rec. district couldn't argue with.

Sorry Shannon ... bummer on the haters! Only thing that I can think of is maybe they're freaked out about knee pad marks? We skated at a venue that made us put medical tape on our black knee pads for an away game. Maybe that would ease their fears for a second? Good luck!! xoxoxo
