Big Derby role-models

Who are your larger then life derby roll-models? Right now I'm in awe of Smack Ya Sideways. Those who were at blood n thunder understand why :)

From observation, I believe a lot of times this question is viewed through a common lens, one that non-derby women are compared with. Not to ask anyone to get out a scale, but I can honestly say I see very rare a skater as big as me (5'9, 275-280 pounds), much less any competing in the top of their respective regions. I could very well be wrong, and I truly hope I am, because I'm always on the lookout.; ▶ Reply to This

As one of the bigger girls in our Australian league (5"11, 233 pounds) I must say my endurance is holding me back a little also but week by week it's getting better and each time we do the endurance timing (20 minutes of 2 minutes sprint with 30 second rolling) I'm less sore and tired. :); ▶ Reply to This

Permalink Reply by DD Hunter on October 12, 2009 at 7:56pm: I'm 5'6" and 235, and an asthmatic to boot. One thing that is stopping me from being a triple threat is my endurance. My proudest moment was when I did 5 laps in under 50 seconds, just 4 months after a nasty motorcycle accident.

Unfortunately I have yet to find a bigger girl who is my roll model, though after playing against Stella Storm, I have to say I admire her a great deal.; ▶ Reply to This
