Drills and Skills

There are so many drills out there and so many variations on the same theme but what is missing is the acknolegement of the person who took the time to develop the original idea. I dont know what do you think?

While it is nice to be able to post your name as the creator of some thing, it is also nice to share. With all the responsibilities of coaches (on and off track) sometimes reinventing the wheel just isn't an option. And of course, whether your name is on that "thing" or not- eventually the creator gets lost in the shuffle of things. What's important for the creators to remember is that once you've shared your knowledge and creativity, you've left a legacy by enriching your sport. In this case, leaving a legacy in such a rapidly growing and increasingly respected sport, is so worthwhile to the derby community. So, my response...have I missed the mark? I really hope I at least touched on the topic. In consolation, anytime I implement a drill or give any advice- I always credit the person from whom I learned it. At least the way, if my student wants to trace the origins on her own- she knows where to start.

I did not mean it as a complaint but more as an awareness of the peoples time and efforts shared with the masses.
