My basics are simple:
1. Listen to your crew, they may need you to back up their calls.
2. Communicate and make sure you are all on the same page.
3. Support your refs, save disagreements for breaks. You need to have solidarity amongst each other....
My advice is to push complete and unemotional attachment from home leagues to refs. The quicker they can let go of that, the more they can focus on reffing (and believe me it took guest reffing for other leagues almost once a month to realize that...
