I heard that you need to contact a certified ref/team and they can test you acording to their schedule, but I am not 100% sure on this. I have heard from one WFTDA ref that out of everyone they knew who took the test, not one of them said it was e...
Good luck to you on that Zeebrother. I am going look into starting the process after I get a few more bouts as head ref under my belt.

Inauguration Day
I was one of the lucky 1.8 million people that attended the inauguration of President Barack Hussein Obama. It was an amazing experience to say the least. You can see a slideshow of some of the photos from the day.

Grand Poobah said… - We've skated at an actual roller skating rink once, as a demo for rink owners during a rink owner's convention. The old venue we had was an inline hockey arena with Sport Court.
We were fortunate that the county built an outdoor roller hockey rink but don't ever leave the nets out for casual hockey. Generally they just have to roust the soccer dudes onto the grass.

- Yeah, we are in Las Vegas. The sad thing about Nevada and much of the West is that there's relatively few cities with any kind of skating rinks. Outside of Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada only has one city with a roller skating rink.
So far, there is a rink but no derby league in Pahrump. But the themes you could go with out there are INCREDIBLE. Art Bell does his crazy UFOs and conspiracy theories radio show out there, and there are legal brothels.

- No, our league doesn't skate banked track. We're WFTDA.
There's a banked track pro team here of sorts, but they haven't actually played any games for a paying audience.
There's a league up in Reno that intends to skate banked track. The Reno Rollergirls have access to Ann Calvello's track, but don't have a place to put it. They're currently skating flat track bouts under OSDA rules, I gather.
The Battle Born Derby Demons skate WFTDA rules derby up there and have done pretty well against the newer California leagues.
