Hello Ladies,
I've been seeing skate packages that includes skates, pads, etc. What do you think of them? Are the packages a good investment for a newbie?
Thanks!
are you going with the wicked or vandal or she devil? They also don't tell you the bearings, plate or wheels you get with them. Ask them and also ask if say the knee pads are too big can you exchange them?
I lucked out. I bought my stuff separate and made out due to finding a pair of wickeds for only 150 on craigslist. The package does not look too bad. But for another option did you check out http://www.rollerderbydepot.com/rookie_packages.html

Hey Hawt Wheels,
I am only a little over a year into derby so I only have experience with one brad of derby skate. I wear Rock GT40's which are listed as "Jam skates" not derby skates. But, I have used them on a regular basis for about 5 years and that includes a whole lot of outdoor skating. I really feel like the price was worth it back then, and now the price has dropped! So, I hope this helps. Cheerio, ~~~~
